Winfried Schulze has published widely on the social and political history of early modern Europe. He is also interested in the history of historiography, as is documented by his Deutsche Geschichtswissenschaft nach 1945 (1989), and, most recently, Deutsche Historiker im Nationalsozialismus (1999, ed. with Otto Gerhard Oexle).
